Start Your Day With A Zest With The In-Room Coffee With Keurig
When you’re planning a trip or vacation and making arrangements for your overnight accommodations, is coffee a concern?. Are you looking for space in your suitcase for your coffee pot – is it an appliance you always take along – just as important as your curling iron or electric razor? Are you one of those die hard coffee drinkers who couldn’t start the day with a cup or two or more of steaming brewed coffee to start your day right? One coffee enthusiast says, “I frequently travel on business and stay in nice hotels. My Keurig Mini B30 is always tucked into my suitcase as I really need coffee in the morning before heading out for tough meetings.” She continues, “The only time I don’t take my small brewer is when I KNOW the hotel supplies in-room coffee made with a Keurig machine”.
Sound extreme? Not really if you’re a fan of delicious coffee and especially need it to give you that morning boost. The satisfied owner of a Keurig Platinum brewer, who regards coffee as a daily necessity, says, “I always ask if the places I’m staying have in-room coffee.” When he arrives and checks out his digs, he’s says “I’m very glad if I see a Keurig and those familiar KCup. I know i’ll enjoy great coffee even when I’m away from home.” Often, there’s no time for a trip to the hotel restaurant or a nearby coffee shop for a cup, leaving you to head out in the car on another leg of your journey - sans coffee. That’s a sure fire way to start the day disastrously with a caffeine headache and an edgy attitude.
Larry Blanford, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters CEO, said that 4 million of the estimated 5 million hotel rooms in the US have coffee makers. About 40% of these are in classy hotels. With the goal of introducing their brewing system to the hospitality industry, Green Mountain Coffee recently launched the Keurig B130 Single Cup Coffee Maker. It has been designed specifically for use in hotels, motels, inns, B&Bs, and a variety of overnight facilities.
The brewer is sleek and attractive with a black and chrome body and is small enough to fit on a small counter, a desk, a bedside stand or dresser. The style of the machine blends into room décor and one manager explained, “We like our rooms to look like rooms in a home, not hotel rooms and we try to carry that theme through to everything the guest uses. The new in-room coffee brewer perfectly fits the idea.” Clear, easily understood instructions for operation are displayed prominently on the machine, making its use simple. The sensor feature of the brewer only allows brewing when the coffee mug is placed on the drip tray. Another safety feature is the Auto-off switch which turns off the brewer after each brew. The brewer dispenses coffee directly into a mug, eliminating glass carafes that can be broken and require washing.
Several hotels settled on the Keurig brewer after trying many different single cup brewers simply because of the flavor of the coffee. Says one, “First, we thought the coffee it produced tasted extraordinary!” With the variety of K-Cups that are now available, coffee drinkers are sure to find a pleasant surprise the next time they stop overnight in a hotel, which supplies the Keurig B130 for the use of its guests.
